Hola Familia.
Well, this week was interesting. But amidst the storms (literally) theres always blessings.
Wednesday was good. We had a mission conference. it was good. we talked about the Book of Mormon and how the important thing is that we have a spiritual testimony of it. But how, within the last 20 years hundreds of physical evidences have come forth proving that one, there is no way Joseph Smith could have written it or made it up and two that it was translated they way Jospeh Smith said it was translated. Did you guys know that while Joseph Smith was translating it, the translation sessions we NOT private? IN other words people interested could come and go as they pleased watching and observing.
The Book of Mormon is true. End of Story.
Well the big news here is that we had some pretty bad storms blow through this weekend (and we are still getting a ton of rain) and our pencion has been without power since saturday morning. Which makes things really cold. and A little complicated at night. But we are one of like five houses on our street without power, its like we are the chosen ones or something haha. actually President told us in conference that if we were obediente we would recieve light. And we are trying to be obediente. But our light left. haha. But we are grateful for our hot water. and our roof. the second cousnelor of the bishopric....yeah his roof flew away. and some other members needed help too....so lets just say that sunday was more of a service day. actually half the lights in the chapel didn't work. But hey, we had like 50 people there. which is good for Chile on a rainy sunday morning.
I got an email from Elder Birchall (my trainer), he finished two weeks ago. its so weird that my first companion is not in the mission. I feel old. He is the first of my companions to finish.
Mom and Dad, thats cool that you are going to work in the temple. we ate lunch yesterday with a couple that also works in the temple every saturday. Its fun talking to them. I think theres like four temple workers in Las Americas.
Dad, I really liked yesterdays sunday school lesson too. we have a really good teacher here in Las Americas. Isn't awesome that you are in texas and I am in Chile, but the church is just so organized that we can to any chapel in the world and almost always be covering the same material?
Sounds like everythig is good back home. Sorry this is short. I just am annoyed with this keyboard. it doesn't type very well.
And no one answered my question: What is the name of Ale's village?
