Hola.
This week was actually REALLY good. The whole 18th of September didn't really change that many things. Except for saturday we just kinda went to a couple houses and shared quick thoughts and then ate asado. then saturday night the senior couple in ovalle invited the zone over and we watched the best two years at their house and ate food and played uno. To be completely honest the 18 of the september wasn't as crazy as me and my companion thought it would be. I mean there were a ton of decorations and lots of Asado and empanadas (which were REALLY good) but, everyone had told us how crazy it is here when they have independence day. We suspect that's because we´re in Ovalle and Ovalle is well...kinda lame. haha. There wasn't much going on. Not even that many drunk people in the streets. But still this weekend was really good. I love Chile. A lot. And Chile is now 200 years old. Bacan.
So the big let down is that Christian doesn't want to get baptized on the 25. Feels like its all happening really fast. So right now we're not exactly sure what{s going on. we have an appointment with him tomorrow, we're hoping that'll eventually get baptized in octubre. BUT we did find another Christian this week. On friday we were walking up the street and this guy in a truck starts to talking to us. He{s been taught before and is like the brother-in-law of a member, Elder Machado and I had actually had a Noche de Hogar at his house one time. Anyway he tells us that if we're not doing anything we should come to his right now to bless it because he keeps hearing noises at night and feeling the prescence of something bad (which is not an uncommon request here in Chile). So we go and bless the house (which is basically just prayer). So we start talking and share a little bit with him. His name is Juan. Then right about as we're getting ready to leave, in walks Christian. Juan's sobrino (nephew) and turns out that he is also the cousin of Dana and Pablo. And he's awesome. They both came to church on sunday (which was actually a little lame, being the day after the 18th...there was like no one there, but we still had more people than ovalle norte...they only had 14 people show up). And now Christian and Pablo are both getting baptized on the 23rd of October. We have another lesson with Christian today after almuerzo. We're excited.
What else happened this week. I can't think of anything too exicting. Thanks for the emails Mom and Dad. Mom i hope everything is ok with your surgery and Dad thanks for the family history. and i don´t care...just tell me what happened in football. sounds like everything is going well in Flower Mound. Dave, sorry about your kidney stone. Mom, why did you tell me it was hereditary? haha. Hmmm....Andy is teaching? I didn´t know that. Thats cool, so hes liking school and everything. thats good. hows his house? I felt like i had more to say and to ask. but...nope. for those of you who read these and want to write...dearelder me and include your email address.
Oh and Dave, my companion told me to ask you what Cabro means in Peru. In chile it means like niño or someone who is immature. but he won't tell me what it means in peru. so if it is something bad...it's not my fault. I hope all is well. I love you all. Say hi to people for me have an AMAZING week.

PPS- For those of you who listen to like 106.1 or 93.3...is Justin Bieber a big deal right now in the states? because he's a pretty big deal in Chile, we hear his music all time.
