ONCE. WERID and a Challenge.

Hola.

This week was pretty good. José Scharf is getting baptized on the 15! And we put Four more fechas. Carlos Oñate is the son of the a member he has like 30 years and came to church on sunday and LOVED IT. he was saying hi to everyone. it was awesome. he´ll be great for the barrio....sometimes this barrio can be a little frio and isn´t so great at welcoming everybody. which brings me to a challenge that im issuing to everyone who reads this:

This next sunday i want to you pay attention. Look around in sacrament meeting, priesthood, sunday school, Relief Society etc. And if there is someone you don´t know or don´t recognize.....go talk to them. introduce yourself and welcome them to the ward. you don´t have to tell them your life story or ask for theirs, simply introduce yourself and make them feel welcome. This makes A HUGE difference in the lives of people. Its so important that people (especially investigators) feel the amor de Cristo in the church...this helps them be more receptive al Espiritu. Challenge accepted? Great. Moving On.

Not much to tell really. Apparently Bill Gates is here in Viña...his yacht apparently is out there in the water. Mom, i got the package from Marie (THANK YOU MARIE. We've already been using the videos) but not any others. But then again...I didn't really check today at the office. Request...could check and see how much money is in Bank of America account? because theres some really simple, nice, inexpensive mp3 players in lider (chilean walmart). but i would like to buy it next monday because you never know when you're going to get transferred. so if you could let me know how much money is in my account that´d be helpful.

So we found we a family that we're excited about. A family of five. we´ve only taught two of them but we´re hoping to teach the whole family when we go back this week. They´re pretty cool. we taught the mom and the 15-yr-old daughter. We watched Juntos Para Siempre (Together Forever...thanks marie) and then talked about how families can be together forever and what it is that we have to do to achieve that. then we talked about baptism and invited them to be baptized and they said as they continue learning and if they receive answers to their prayers...yes. so we could have some more fechas to put in the coming weeks. It's really interesting how simply the gospel is taught in the bible. Jesus tells us in John that if we want to the enter into the kingdom of God we have be baptized. we have to be born of the water. Jesus also tells how we should be baptized...by being baptized himself. He gives the example. In a lot water, baptism by immersion. Jesus was baptized when he had 30 years, entonces we learn that we should have an age of responsibility. And third Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist...who was a profeta, or in other words had the authority of God to baptize.

Well, I got a letter from Alisa. Which im going to respond to next week. Enjoy the pictures. They´re from Christmas and New Years. Dave, if you can check my facebook...apparently people here have added me as a friend.

I LOVE YOU ALL. Have fun with Empty-Nester FHE Mom and Dad. Have fun in the Snow in Texas. And you should feed the missionaries as often as you can mom and dad. because people here feed me. so somehow its like returning the favor. haha. chao-ito.
